Sunflowers: The common sunflower, Helianthus Annuus is part of the genus Helianthus that is grown as crops for edible oil and fruits. Sunflower crops mainly consist of the flowers themselves for the floristry industry, the seeds used for bird food and livestock forage foods, and to make sunflower oil for cooking purposes.
